Murphy’s law

If something can go wrong, it will.

How do you read such a sentence? The ways of interpret it are as frequent as the occasions it is used. My most favorite interpretation is the contingency-plan-paradigm. In thinking through a venture many possibilities of failure arise and a plan to action is made according to the goals and the risks on the way. Acting according to Murphy’s law means then to have the contingency-plan for the possible failures to be able to follow through the plan to the goal and to be prepared to adapt to changed realities.
